2 What is the mode of admission in IIBMT?

Candidate aspiring to take admission in any course (except LL.M. and B.Ed.) can apply and take admission on basis of marks scored in entrance examination. In case of LL.M. selection is done on basis of entrance examination and interview. For B.Ed. the candidate needs to appear in an interview process before getting admission. However due to COVID-19, all entrance examinations/ interview have been cancelled and direct admission is provided on basis of marks scored in qualifying examinations.
3 How can I apply for a particular course?

After getting the information regarding the courses and knowing eligibility criteria, students can apply for any course by paying the required amount for the reserving the seat either offline or online https://IIBMT.ac.in/online-admission
4 Am I eligible to take admission in IIBMT programs?

You are welcome to apply to IIBMT. We will evaluate your credentials and admissibility after you have submitted an application. Here at IIBMT, we do a comprehensive review of all applications.
5 What should be the minimum percentage for getting admission in different courses?

The minimum percentage criteria for the admissions is 45% marks in the qualifying examination (10 th for Diploma/ 12th for undergraduate and integrated excluding B.Ed. and LL.B. / Graduation for post graduate courses. However there are certain courses where the minimum percentage required is higher. It is advised to check eligibility criterion for different courses.
6 Can student apply for any course even if they have a compartment in class 12th?

The students can apply for the courses even if they have compartment in their exam, but that admission would be considered as provisional till the time student won’t submit the original passing mark sheet. The deadline for the same is 30th October.
7 Is it possible that I can take admission in a course even when board result of class 12th are awaited?

You can apply for a course even if your board results are awaited, but that admission would be considered as provisional till the time you don’t submit the original passing mark sheet. The deadline for the same is 30th October.
8 Is there an option of taking admission for students appearing in board exams or final year of graduation?

Yes, all such students are provided provisional admission subject to confirmation on the basis of their final result meeting the eligibility criterion of the chosen course.
9 While filling the online application form, I am facing issues related to payment (payment failed/ payment awaited/ payment failure).

In all such cases you need to contact us on our Tollfree number 18001026004 or Whatsapp on 9554965586. Normally in cases where payment gets deducted due to issues of banking servers/ payment gateway/ internet connection, amount is credited back by concerned agencies within a period of 2-7 days.

You are advised to contact us in case of any issues in online application process. In such cases our representative will help you to apply through offline mode by asking you to make form fee payment in university bank account.
10 In case the student admitted provisionally fails to meet the eligibility criterion is there an option of course switching?

If the candidate meets the eligibility of the other course in which switching is desired the same is permissible once only and before class commencement. Fees paid will be adjusted out against the new course.
11 What is IIBMT-SET and who all can appear in this exam?

IIBMT-SET is a scholarship entrance test offered by IIBMT. Any student interested in undergraduate (except B.Ed. and LL.B.) and integrated programs can apply for the scholarship exam.
12 What are the different scholarship schemes other than IIBMT-SET offered at IIBMT and on what basis are they given out?
IIBMT offers various scholarship schemes to provide financial benefits to performers and achievers.

16 I am eligible for multiple scholarship schemes, how much fee waiver will I get?

17 What are special scholarships and who all are eligible for it?
As a gesture of appreciation to our staff and students and increase the level of bonding we have devised special fee waivers to our existing students, staff and their referrals and blood relations.

Further we salute our defense forces who are always there to protect our lives. Special concessions to their wards are just a small tribute towards them.

In line with government initiative KHELEGA INDIA BADHEGA INDIA, attractive fee waivers are provided to sportspersons.
1. For ward of martyrs à 100% of yearly tuition fee waiver
2. For ward of serving/ retired defense persons à 100% of semester tuition fee
3. For national level sports person à 100% of semester tuition fee
4. For state level sports person à 50% of semester tuition fee
5. For sibling à 50% of semester tuition fee
6. For blood relatives/ ward of faculty/ staff à 50% of semester tuition fee
7. For student referrals à 30% of semester tuition fee (to be adjusted in fee of student or referred case)
8. For staff referrals à 30% of semester tuition fee (to be adjusted in fee of student only)
18 Will I get fee waivers or scholarship in subsequent years of my course?

You can get attractive fee waivers through our Performance Based Scholarship. Through this meritorious students are awarded with attractive fee incentives.
19 What is the fee payment schedule that needs to be followed while taking admission in IIBMT?

Candidate can follow the given fee payment schedule:

30% of first year course fee at time of seat locking cum registration 20% of first year course fee on or before 30^th September

50% of first year course fee on or before 25^th December

In case the candidate opts for payment of entire first year course fee, a one-time payment discount will be applied.
20 If a student fails in board/ qualifying examination or gets compartment then is admission cancelled?

Yes, in such case admission will be cancelled. Course change is allowed subject to condition that the candidate meets down the eligibility of the new course. Fees will be adjusted or refunded as per the case. Refund of fee will be as per university refund policy.
21 Is there some special programs or initiatives for female students at university campus?
IIBMT aims to empower and motivate women and girls, to speak up against harassment, register a strong voice and not find themselves at the receiving end of societal victimization, alienation or pressures that refrains them from registering their dissent. Some of the initiatives are:
1. Appointing female students as Power Angels in Women Powerline 1090 having powers of Special Police Officer
2. Regular sessions conducted by Women Powerline 1090 at campus
3. NCC for girls and boys
4. Self-defense workshop in association with Red Brigade
5. Inspirational session by women achievers which includes Padma Awardees, civil servants, prominent educationist and many more
22 Do you have medical facilities for the students?

Enhanced medical facility is provided within the University to all the Students and Faculty / Staff members for immediate medical attention and care. This facility has been outsourced to “Doctel.” A health kiosk machine is available in the centre. A full medical check-up of the students is done twice a year. The complete medical data is stored in an App. Provision of two nurses (Male & Female) is available in MI room as well as in hostel. Empanelled and enlisted doctors are available through video conferencing for online support. The centre has the first-aid facility for any emergency that may arise.
23 Is there any platform to handle student issues and problems?

IIBMT has got a Student Senate which is an independent student body that works in association with university authorities to work and improve on student related issues.

Further the Online Grievance Redressal Mechanism for the students of the University has been started to resolve the complaints/ issues faced by the students in a more transparent manner.
24 How would I get to know about my admission status?

You will receive a receipt of admission. Please note that official decisions are sent by post only. Details about accommodation/ hostel, orientation and the steps you need to take in order to prepare for your studies will be enclosed with your college Admission Information Letter.
25 Is there an application fees?

Yes, Rs. 1000/- only for all the courses except Diploma in Engineering where it is Rs. 500/-

27 I am in final year of graduation/ appearing in board examinations, can I apply at IIBMT?

You may apply before completing all of your academic qualification, however you are required to complete the relevant section of the application form by giving details of examination in which you will be appearing and your expected date of completion.
28 Can I apply for more than one program?

Currently students can not apply to more than one program.
29 A gap year student could get admission in under graduation courses?

Yes, candidates having gap year are eligible to get admission in under graduation.
30 What is the maximum year gap allowed to take admission in UG courses?

Maximum 3 years gap is allowed to take admission in UG Courses.

32 What all documents do one need to carry on the day of selection process?

A Student needs to carry all the mark sheets as well as essential credentials original.
33 What system of education is followed at IIBMT?

Students are required to maintain minimum SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) and CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) to get promoted to the next semester and qualify for Degree/ Diploma.
34 What is the attendance requirement?

A minimum 75% attendance is required to appear in the examinations.
35 Can I make partial payment after selection so as to reserve my seat?

Partial payments are not accepted. You are required to pay first semester fee as well as academic security fee as per the deadline.
36 What if one fails to deposit the fee as per the last date mentioned on the admission letter?

If you are not able to pay the fees within the specified date due to some valid reason you are required to approach the admission office. Depending upon the availability of seats and decision of admission committee, future extension of date may be considered.
37 What is the campus placement criterion of the university?

IIBMT assures 100% placement assistance. In order to be eligible for the recruitment process, event student is required to achieve a minimum of 6 on a 10 point scale.
38 What would be the mode of language for examination?

The mode of language would be English in all programs except for B.Ed. and M.A. (Journalism & Mass Communication) programs, where it will be bilingual.
39 When does the campus recruitment season begin?

Normally, the campus placement season begins at the pre-final/ final semester. It commences in the month of July and goes on till the end of the academic year.
40 Is there a facility of campus tour for the students and parents?

We provide with 15 minutes tour for the students and the parents. The tour starts from the admission center and it is available throughout the calendar year.
41 Is there any transportation facility available for day scholars?

Yes, we do provide the students with the bus facilities as per there requirement. We cover every area so that the students don’t face any problem.
42 How to apply for the hostel accommodation?

Provided with three bedded hostel accommodation all the standard civic amenities, mess and laundry. You should submit your request as soon as possible because request processed on first come first serves.
